Our grinchy gargoyle has been banished from the foyer for wearing the "Bah! Humbug" hat. His penance is to forever hold up the mailbox. And if you had a metal crate on your head 24/7 you'd look grumpy, too!
Installing the mailbox entailed messing up a sprinkler system so new it hasn't even been run except for testing! Ah well, just another project for spring ...
