Peaked Mountain
Grand Targhee sits on the opposite side of the Grand Tetons from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In a forgiving winter there's a back road that will get you from one resort to the other in about an hour; otherwise you have to go back to I-15 and traipse through a few states to get around these high peaks.
This is Peaked Mountain. Grand Targhee runs snow cats to the summit and guides powder excursions down the far side. Though you can't see it in this photo, there are a few ski tracks down this steep north face. People are always pushing the boundaries of the possible.
